Sainsbury
currently support both the TRADACOMS and EANCOMS
EDI standards for various EDI messages. The Retail
industry, in conjunction with the e-centre (www.e-centre.org.uk),
have committed to migrating all EDI messages to
the EANCOM EDI Standard. Sainsbury will only develop
new EDI messages in the EANCOM standard and existing
TRADACOMS messages will be migrated. No firm dates
exist for the migration. For any future development

EDI
COR is the mechanism by which Sainsbury's notifies
suppliers of a received delivery.
EDI
COR provides the following benefits:
- Guaranteed
delivery of EDI COR to Sainsbury's.
- End
to end audit trail from suppliers to Sainsbury's.
- Simpler
invoice matching process.
- Minimising
of invoicing queries, resulting in easier payment.
At
present, Sainsbury's support the TRADCOMS message
standard for EDI COR. In the near future, we will
additionally support the EANCOM message standard.
We will migrate all suppliers to EANCOM COR over
the coming year or so in order to be EMU compliant.
