Our instore Pharmacy provides a large range of services – more than you may think. Our Pharmacists are always at hand to provide information about all our services including stop smoking support and health eating advice.

Ours instore pharmacists are trained as healthy eating advisors and you can get free advice on a wide range of issues, including heart health, children’s diet and weight management. If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to chat with them about ‘smart food choices’.

Try talking to our pharmacists about what you should be eating before you begin your grocery shopping so you can add any suggestions to you shopping basket. Also, if you have any questions about specific products or a food ranges, just pop over to the instore Pharmacy where you can get all the answers.

	Prescription collection service The Sainsbury’s prescription collection service is a convenient way to collect your repeat prescriptions, saving you time and extra trips to your GP. Your Sainsbury’s Pharmacy can collect your prescription from your local doctor’s surgery and have your medication waiting at the Pharmacy for when you are next in your Sainsbury’s store. And what’s more, the service is free. In addition to this we are now offering a £30 voucher book* to anyone who signs up to the service. Visit your local Sainsbury's Pharmacy where a member of the team will explain how the service will work for you and give you a registration form.			Healthy eating advice Our instore pharmacists are trained as Healthy Eating Advisors to offer free advice on a wide range of issues, including heart health, children’s diet and weight management. If you've any concerns or questions- you can have a chat to them about Smart Food Choices. Talking to a healthy eating advisor about what you should be eating while you’re shopping for groceries means you can implement any suggestions right away. Also, if you have any questions about specific products or a food range, you can have them answered right there instore.

	NHS & private prescriptions Our Sainsburys pharmacist can dispense both NHS and private prescriptions (including repeat prescriptions) and they can provide advice on how to get the most from your medicines.			Wellness Check Visit the Sainsbury’s Pharmacy to have a wellness check. The check includes: Blood glucose test, Blood pressure test, BMI (Body Mass Index) and Cholesterol test. The check costs £9.

	Dispensing & medicine advice Our Sainsburys pharmacists are experts in medicines and how they work and can dispense both NHS and private prescriptions. They can also provide advice on how to get the most from your medicines.			Diabetes screening* Our Sainsburys pharmacy offers a service which can check if you are at risk of suffering from diabetes. 	Medicines Check-Up Meet with our pharmacist to talk about the medicines you are taking, what they should do, how well they should work for your and how to get the most out of them.			Minor Ailments* The Minor Ailments scheme is an NHS service designed to offer advice about, and treatment of, minor ailments without the need for a prescription. 	Return of unwanted medicines The pharmacy can receive and safely dispose of your unwanted medicines so you don't have to.			Stop Smoking* Our pharmacist can advise you in the privacy of our consultation room to help you stop smoking by providing access to NHS and smoking cessation services. *selected pharmacies only.
