Supporting the Paralympic Games

Sainsbury’s is proud to be the first standalone partner of the London 2012 Paralympic Games. We’re committed to making them the best Games ever, and this means making a lasting difference to attitudes towards disability in the UK, and creating real opportunities for change in the lives of people with disabilities.

A word from Ellie

No one sums up the spirit of the Paralympic Games better than champion swimmer, Ellie Simmonds. She's just as committed to getting kids active as she is to training for the Games!

"The great thing about Active Kids is its huge range of equipment. I've loved swimming for as long as I can remember, but it's important that kids have a choice. With everything Active Kids has to offer, everyone can try something new. My advice is to find a sport you really like, because if you enjoy it you will do your best and have fun."

Try a Paralympic sport!

As a proud sponsor of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, we’ve set our 1 Million Kids Challenge to get over a million children trying Paralympic sports. It’s a chance to encourage children of all ages and abilities to ‘have a go’ and take part in this challenge – so why not get your kids involved too?
