In fact, there’s never been a more exciting time to join our team. Two years ago, we brought IT back in-house after a five-year outsourcing period, although we still foster close relationships with suppliers to keep up to speed with technological developments. Since then, we’ve established ourselves as a division and grown in number to around 550 colleagues working in three functions: Systems, Operations and Strategy & Architecture. Now we’re looking to expand our capability further and deliver more for the business - and such is the importance of technology to Sainsbury’s, wey’re committed to building up and retaining the core IT skills to enable the business to thrive.
