In short, you’ll turn your hand to anything to do with the smooth running of the store. This could involve everything from assisting customers with their enquiries and maintaining an uncluttered environment to replenishing stock and supporting colleagues. Ensuring the availability of a range of newspaper, magazine, CD and DVD products – and providing the highest standards of customer service – will be the main focus of this role. Dealing with customer enquiries, changing displays and receiving deliveries will be key, as will checking stock levels and maintaining the attractiveness and cleanliness of your area. We’re looking for someone with a strong customer focus who is equally at home supporting colleagues as they are with hitting targets. Are you someone who enjoys exceeding customers’ expectations and takes pride in working to the highest standards? You’ll play your part in creating a great shopping experience by dealing with customers’ queries, as well as promoting, displaying and replenishing product lines to maximise sales. Making sure hygiene and cleanliness remain top priorities will also be a key task. Retail experience would be a bonus, but more important will be your helpful and courteous attitude and the confidence to actively promote our products.
