How do you encourage your children to
lead a healthy lifestyle?

Sport is the biggest thing for me; it’s one of the healthiest things you can encourage. You know, go out, run around, kick a football about, bounce a ball for an hour – it’s great for them.

What do you think of Sainsbury’s Active
Kids scheme?

For Sainsbury’s to run something like this, which helps kids – I love that because I’m a dad! I want the best for my kids and when you hear about what Sainsbury’s are doing – it makes you feel proud to be part of it.

What is it about the Paralympic Games
that inspires you?

When you watch these athletes with disabilities and you see how amazing they are – not just as athletes but as people too. So when I was asked by Sainsbury’s if I’d like to get involved, I couldn’t say yes quickly enough, because it’s something I’m really honoured to be part of.

Is there a particular Paralympian that
you admire?

Ellie Simmonds is an incredible person to have achieved what she has at such a young age. When you teach your own children about aspiring to be great at something, it’s people like Ellie who you look up to.

What are your thoughts about
Sainsbury’s sponsoring the London 2012 Paralympic Games?

It’s huge! It’s huge because everybody knows Sainsbury’s, everybody knows the Paralympics and combined together, it’s a special relationship. And for me to be involved as an ambassador; I’m really excited!
